Choir Members

Music is a key element of our parish life. At St. Marks whether you sing or play an instrument it is a ministry that glorifies God. We welcome anyone who wants to share his or her gifts and talents in this way.

The music at our worship services provides a variety of musical styles including traditional, classical, contemporary, gospel music and folk music. We routinely use three hymnals during worship, the Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing, and Wonder Love and Praise.

St. Mark's Choir

Lead by Music Director, Diane Killgore, the St. Mark's Choir leads the music at the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist three Sundays a month. On the third Sunday of every month the choir leads the congregation with a gospel music setting of the mass from the hymnal Lift Every Voice and Sing. In addition to Christmas and Easter the choir participates in special services throughout the year including Taize Services, Ash Wednesday, The Great Litany in procession, and Advent Lessons and Carols. The Pentecost Sunday celebration is always a highlight of the year.

Choir rehearsals are held on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Hall Music Room.
