Door of Hope
“Changing the lives of homeless families through faith, hope, and love in Christ.” The Door of Hope is a two-year residential program in Pasadena whose mission is to rehabilitate homeless families.
They employ a variety of means to impact their residents, including Christian spiritual formation, psychotherapy, case management, life-skills classes, and opportunities to return to school.
St. Mark’s provides and serves dinner at the Door of Hope on the first Wednesday of the month. Parish families help with the dinners by either preparing a part of the meal or with a monetary donation. A wish list of needed items is also published in the parish bulletin on an as needed basis.
