Worship Services

Sunday ServicesWe currently hold three regularly scheduled Sunday morning services. 7:45 a.m. HOLY EUCHARIST 9:00 a.m. FAMILY SERVICE 10:30 a.m. HOLY EUCHARIST |
The 7:45 service is a said service of Holy Eucharistand is generally quieter, with a smaller congregation.
At 9:00, we offer a shorter service tailored to the needs of families with children. Music is also an important part of the service with hymns accompanied by guitar, banjo and autoharp. Generally, the 9:00 service is a lively and interactive service with a modified Liturgy of the Word; Holy Eucharist is offered the 3rd Sunday of the month.
The 10:30 service is generally a choral service with choir and organ. Our youth Choristers sing once a month, and one Sunday a month we use music from the gospel tradition. Occasionally, we have music provided by our young adult woodwind ensemble, various percussionists, brass, or bagpipes.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School for children age 3 through 8th grade is offered during the first half of the 10:30 service. Teachers use scripture-based lessons for age-grouped classes:
- pre-school
- K-1st grade
- 2nd - 3rd grade
- 4th - 5th grade
- 6th - 8th grade
Children are dropped off at the classes by 10:30 a.m., and then are brought into the service during the greeting of Peace to join their families. The first Sunday of each month is Chorister Sunday, and Sunday School is only offered for preschoolers; the 10:30 service on those weeks is slightly shorter and engaging for all ages.
Nursery Care
Nursery care, staffed by an adult and teen helper, is offered from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to children age 3 and under. |
