In 2017, Saint Mark’s Church member Betty Butler began an outreach ministry to fill purses with basic necessities and distribute them to women in the Altadena/Pasadena area who don’t have homes. This is an act of thankfulness for all her blessings; she knows that while she and many women carry full, even overstuffed purses, those who live on the street may have no personal care items. Now our whole church is supporting this act of love and care for our neighbors, and you can help!
Items needed (travel/hotel sizes):
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Lotion
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Hand sanitizer
- Soap
- Deodorant
- Wet wipes/body wipes/feminine wipes
- New heavy white socks
- Band-aids
- Sanitary supplies
- Lip balm
- Washcloths
- Hand-crank flashlight
In addition, purses are always needed, and cash donations help fill in gaps.
