Our 9 A.M. Sunday morning adult ed program for Black History Month will utilize the book Four Hundred Souls. The book is an extraordinary collection of essays, stories, and poems brought together and edited by Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain. Each engaging and thought-provoking piece contributes to an overall mosaic spanning 400 years of Black History. We'll begin with an overview of the book and a discussion about how possible it is to fully cover the history of a community. In subsequent weeks, we will read a few selections from the book and discuss them.
