Some of you will remember meeting Tablet Magazine's Maggie Phillips on the 2nd Sunday of Easter. Tablet's origins and readership started as a mostly younger, culturally and politically engaged Jewish population and the publication has quickly grown in influence to reach a much larger and diverse audience. I think you'll enjoy this very cool and indepth article about Saint Mark's. The one thing Maggie got little off is my reference to "parallel universes." It wasn't about the haves and have nots, per se. My frequent reference is to the parallel universes of those whose homes burned and whose homes are in remediation, and then to celebrate the way in which, at Saint Mark's, those two parallel universes are mutually supportive.
